Siapa, Dari Mana, Untuk Apa & Ke Mana?

Siapakah Kita?

Let's Talk About Love-Part 3

Meaning True Love in Islam
Source: www.islamicoccassion.com

It is so common that the meaning of love has been restricted in the modern age to the love relationship between a man and a woman. This is a very narrow-minded view of love. Islam has is own comprehensive view of love.

The fist type of love that Islam calls for is the Love of Allah (SWT), praise be to Him. This love makes you avoid committing sins in order not to make whom you love, Allah, get angry with you. This love also urges you to contemplate all the different aspect of nature that usually leads you to have a deeper faith in the Creator who created all this beauty round us.

The second type of love is the love of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). This love also makes you follow the example of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) in all his dealings and manners. Also this love is an indication of the love of Allah (SWT) as stated in the Noble Qur'an, "Say: 'If you do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'" Say: "Obey Allah and His Messenger: But if they turn back, Allah loves not those who reject Faith." (Noble Qur'an, 3:31-32)

The third type of love is human love. It means that the Muslim has to love his other fellow men regardless of their ethnic, linguistic or cultural background. This includes love of neighbors, colleagues, relatives and even strangers. This type of love persuades the Muslim to help anybody whenever he can. There are numerous of a hadith that exhort Muslims to help anybody who really needs help because such an altruistic act takes the Muslim one step closer to Allah (SWT).

The fourth type of love is the love between a man and a woman, but Islam organizes and regulates these lofty feelings within the framework of marriage because Islam views that marital love leads the couple to have a peaceful and happy family life, which is the core of the Muslim society.

Let's Talk About Love-Part 2

Brothers & Sisters, let me share with you a touching love story that I received from someone through my personal email a few months ago...

The boy hated her childishness and out of impulse, retorted, "Maybe, it was a mistake for us to be together! You were never my missing rib!" Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long while. He regretted what he said but words spoken are like thrown away water, you can never take it back. With tears, she went home to pack her things and was determined in breaking-up. Before she left the house, "If I'm really not your missing rib, please let me go." She continued, "It is less painful this way. Let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners."
Five years went by...
He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and back. She had married a foreigner and divorced. He felt anguished that she never waited for him. In the dark and lonely night; he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn't bring himself to admit that he was missing her. One day, they finally met. At the airport, a place where there were many reunions and good byes. He was going away on a business trip. She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently.

Boy: How are you?
Girl: I'm fine. How about you? Have you found your missing rib?
Boy: No.
Girl: I'll be flying to New York in the next flight.
Boy: I'll be back in 2 weeks time. Give me a call when you are back. You know my number. Nothing has changed.
With a smile, she turned around and waved good bye.
Good bye...

One week later, he heard of her death. She had perished in New York, in the event that shocked the world.
Midnight, once again, he lit his cigarette. And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew. She was the missing rib that he had carelessly broken.
Sometimes, people say things out of moments of fury. Most often than not, the outcome could be disastrous and detrimental. We vent our frustrations 99% at our loved ones. And even though we know that we ought to "think twice and act wisely", it's often easier said than done.
Things happen each day, many of which are beyond our control. Let us treasure every moment and everyone in our lives.
Tomorrow may never come. Give and accept what you have today

Now, let me share with you quotes from unknown authors, so that we can think deeply what love is about...and something for us to think about...

"The measure of love is when you love without measure. In life, there is very rare chances that you'll meet the person you love and love you in return. So, once you have it don't ever let go, the chance might never come your way again"

"You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is upt to the person to realise your worth"

"It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give"

"When you truly care for someone, you don't look for faults, you don't look for answers, you don't look for mistakes. Instead, you fight the mistakes, you accept the faults and you overlook the excuses"

Is that amazing huh??? :)

Let's talk about Love-Part 1

Salam & Good day...

To al my brothers and sisters... (brothers & sisters referred to all of you) :)

I think love is an interesting topic to talk about. In dictionary, love has a lot of meaning and same goes when we surf from internet. However, I wolud like to share the meaning of love from different person.

According to Rachna Gupta from www.buzzle.com, Love is about sharing, talking, spending time togehter, faithfullness, being friends & looking together in the same direction.

According to Roger Knapp from www.rogerknapp.com, Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weakness. Love is content with the present, it hopes for the future, and it doesn’t brood over the past. It’s the day-in and day-out chronicle of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories and working toward common goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things that are missing. If you don’t have love in your life, no matter what else there is, it’s not enough.

Teaming with Passion

Last week, on 14th & 15th July 2010, I’m attended a seminar called “Teaming with Passion” which I think is a great seminar that I ever attend before. This seminar introduced by Dr Lawrence Walter Ng; which has been described as dynamic and inspiring speaker and conducted by certified trainers from Telekom Malaysia. Bravo!
In this seminar, I’d learn about a few major keys such as “passion’, “team”, “challenge” and many other words. For me, what is interesting about this seminar is full of a recitation which is just a simple words, but it is really meaningful for me to think about. I just want to share my thoughts & opinions with a few recitations.
Firstly, it’s about passion; encourage me to find my passion in everything I do; life, dream, works, etc. Secondly, is about challenge; inspired me to face my challenge with zest. Third, is about “I support you!” & “I know you can be better” encourage me to be kind to others, think good and learn to be happy for others and also I was thinking to wish for others that I wish for myself-of course the good things lah!
The words “For things to change, I must change first!” encourage me to accept & adapt to change in everything I do, to me aim & strive and help me to decide my path wisely. I also learn about 4 arrows of communication which is “Strategy”, “High Energy”, “Intensity of Eye Contact” and “Transfer of Feelings” with favorite recitation; “Words have Power” inspired me to sharpen my communication skills and choose my word with care when communicate to others because “The meaning of my communication is the response I get”.
Lastly, my very favorite word is “I’m a Shaker!” which makes me be connected with others, be ready for opportunity in life and make me say words and do the action!

Colors of Life

Hi all, let me share about the differences between YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW

Phase 1: YESTERDAY
  • As a lesson & pray for forgiveness and wrongdoing

Phase 2: TODAY

  • Focus & do the best for every step ongoing

Phase 3: TOMORROW

  • Mind of strategies & pray of goodness

Let's read together this poem: YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry.
Two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is yesterday with its mistakes and cares its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed. We cannot erase a single word we said.

Yesterday is gone. The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow.

With its possible adversities, its burdens, Its large promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's Sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This just leaves only one day . . . Today. Any person can fight the battles of just one day.

It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities; yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.
It is not the experience of today that drives people mad.

It is the remorse or bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore live but one day at a time.
